Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among COVID-19 obsession, occupationalstress, resilience, and psychological well-being in general hospital nurses following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: The study analyzed the analysis of 143 structured questionnaires received from general hospital nursesin D city. Data were collected from August 22 to August 26, 2022. The SPSS/WIN 26.0 program was used for dataanalysis, which included the t-test, one-way ANOVA, the Scheffe? test, Pearson¡¯s correlation coefficient, andhierarchical regression analysis.

Results: The following factors were found to affect the psychosocial well-beingof nurses in general hospitals after the COVID-19 pandemic: resilience(¥â=-.56, p<.001), occupational stress(¥â=20, p=.008), and COVID-19 obsession(¥â=.14, p=.048). These factors explained 43% of variance in psychosocialwell-being, and the model fit was also significant(F=26.43, p<.001).

Conclusion: The results, obtained from asurvey after the COVID-19 pandemic, suggest that it is necessary to develop and apply programs for thepsychosocial well-being of nurses in general hospitals.
